Maisie Mae Mikka (formerly Maisie Mae) has adjusted wonderfully to our household. She was initially timid and slow to show affection for the first few months although she was eager to receive attention, positive reinforcement, and spend time with us in our daily activities. As Mikka became more confident in her new environment and more comfortable with us, she started to show affection and initiate contact on her terms. She now happily greets us when we come home and will seek us out with toys when she wants to play. Mikka's favorite activities are snuggling together under the covers, chasing balls, and sunning herself. It took our older dog, Windsor, and Mikka a few weeks to find their way together. They have now settled into a happy and peaceful coexistence with one another. We have had an extremely positive experience adopting from your organization and are incredibly happy to have Mikka as a part of our family. Please enjoy some of the attached pictures of Mikka. |
