Albus

The adoption story of Lord Albus Willey My partner Corey and I always knew we wanted a Sphynx to be part of my family. Everyone told us how hard it would be but I didn't listen. For months I searched, networked, and even almost got scammed. I had almost given up knowing I would have to go through some breeder, which I've never been keen on, and spending thousands just for a cat I wanted to love and make happy. Then our dog died, my daughter was heart broken and I knew we needed another companion so I hit the web again and searched the Casper Wyoming area where we live and the North Dakota are where Corey was working, and I could NOT BELIEVE what I found. In Fargo at a RESCUE (the exact way I wanted to attain a animal) an adorable Orange tinted Spyhnx angel names Albus. I gasped, immediately I thought "Albus, like Albus Dumbledore IT'S FATE!!", two minutes later I'd started the adoption process. After all my references were called and my home was visited I got the call "If you get here first, he's yours" naturally I packed and made the 12 hour drive to Fargo with my daughter the next day. When we got to his foster moms house he was alone in her bedroom since he's a lone ranger and prefers being the only cat, that why he's Lord of the cats.....but anyway, we come in the room and his perfect little self came out from under the blanket and we both immediately fell in love. It didn't take Alb long at all to warm up us, the first night he cuddled with me while I slept. He's definitely turned out to be a daddy's boy though and it is beyond adorable. Albus and Corey have a bromance, Corey will sit on the couch and like clockwork Albie jumps up on his lap, climbs his chest, and rubs his face all over Corey's stubbly beard. Then he gets comfy and naps on him for hours. Albus also loves the sun. Every day when I wake up he's basking like a king on the carpet by the back window, then I pet his pudgy little tummy and its all warm like clothes taken straight out of the dryer. Lately he's been very curious about the outdoors, so we got him a cat harness, but he prefers if I just hold him and take him out on the porch. Kaya, my four year old has been doing great with him and treats him like a baby brother, although sometimes maybe a teeny bit too much. I have to remind her she's a little to small to be able to pick him up and have it be enjoyable for him. But he's been known to crawl in bed with her and let her put doll hats on him, and she LOVES playing with him with the laser, although I think after about a minute Albus gets too smart for it and figures out we're the ones creating and controlling the mysterious red dot. He's picky with his water and rarely drinks his own but instead sneaks mine or his favorite, water from the fish bowl. Bath time is a breeze, and I love doing it, so does Kaya when I allow her to help. Corey and I have expressed multiple times how crazy it is he just popped up online one day, and how he was ment to be us, how we can't imagine life without him. He has brought so much joy, fun, and sassynesz
