Jackson is doing awesome! He is now potty trained and walks really well on a leash! If you tell him to "kennel", he will go right in. He loves to play but loves to be lazy too. He has come along ways since he came to the rescue. He no longer ducks or hits the floor when he gets scared. he is one of the best dogs I have ever met! Whoever adopts him will be one lucky family!

Jackson has improved so much these last few days. He is no longer afraid of walks or his tie out. He is still excellent with his potty training skills. He is rough with his dog brother Slinky, but it isn't on purpose and it's always in good fun! They love to play!

Jackson is the best snuggler in the world. He's learning quickly to stay off the couch unless invited up. He loves to sit in your lap, lay on you, or have you hold his face with your hands. Yes, I'm serious. He's still a meatball, but every day is an improvement: further out of his shell, patient, less afraid, happy.

Jackson really loves the boys. Ages 7 & 2, Jackson trails them around the house. He listens to them when they tell him commands, he even let Rocco (age 2) walk him around the yard. He was a perfect gentleman.  I cannot say it enough, he's the most perfect dog.

Hi, Jackson's foster mom here with an update on how well he's doing!  Jackson is still a very sweet boy, but now that he's comfortable he's showing his puppy side. He is into everything: he ate my favorite dress shoe! Nothing out of the ordinary there, just more focused training and keeping things up and away. He redirects easily with raw hide bones, he loves them!

Jackson is afraid of everything. He ducks, runs, or will lay flat like a pancake. This is all the time, especially when I grab his leash for a walk or attempt to get him in his kennel. We will continue to work on this as well as manners: staying off the couch, begging for food. He responds to correction and shows zero signs of aggression.

Now for the positives: Jackson is so loving. So so so so loving. He loves my kids especially, ages 2 & 7. He plays well with the other dogs, wrestling and whatnot. He's been timid of everyone he first meets...besides the kids, but warms up quickly. He wants to be where his person is at all times. He knows his name and some basic commands like off/sit/no. He doesn't always listen, but he knows them! He isn't a barker, on occasion he will, and it's way bigger sounding than he is! Jackson has a spot behind his right ear that is the magic spot...his back leg just wiggles like crazy! He also loves to be outside, doing well with off leash recall. He also is good at alerting when he needs to potty

Hopefully some more work and a little time will help this nervous boy bloom into the confident meatball I know he is!

Hello! It's been awhile since I told you all how I am doing so I thought I would check in! To start, I am completely potty trained now! I haven't had an accident in... well I can't even remember when! I also have gotten a lot more comfortable in my kennel and I don't bark and whine to get out. I absolutely love other dogs that I can play with! I do have sharp puppy teeth still, so sometimes my foster brothers neck gets scabs from when we play as I like to bite at his collar while we wrestle! I do take cues very well from dogs that don't want to play with me. There are two smaller dogs in my home that don't appreciate my puppy energy and I know to leave them alone. I have also really come out of my shell when it comes to new people. I am much less shy. I am still a little nervous to come when I am called and am working on this command. I love tennis balls! And, anything else I can chew! I wish I was more photogenic. I am so much cuter in person, but I just hate cameras! I hope you will consider meeting me. I am excited to meet my forever family!

Hi my name is Jackson! I came from a hoarding situation, but I am starting to come out of my shell and showing off my personality. I currently live with dogs of all sizes and am doing great with everyone. I've never met a cat and but they would probably intrigue me. I am working on learning commands and will need consistency to continue to learn. I do need to be given activities to do around the house or I sometimes chew on things as most puppies do. I am very good in my kennel when my foster parents are gone and I love when they come home! I am working on the last little bit of potty training but overall do very well! I sometimes need to be let out in the middle of the night yet, but will whine to let you know. I can't wait to meet my forever family! Is it you?
