Caesara (pronounces Se-SAR-uh) and her litter mates (Ivy, Leap, Springer, & Julian) were born under the deck of a very kind, caring couple's house. The kittens and their mama survived by finding shelter under the deck and receiving fresh water and food from the sweet owners until they were old enough to be weened and caught. Unfortunately Covid hit right about the time the kittens were old enough, delaying their capture until later than ideal. Once caught, they were surrendered to our rescue in hopes of finding safe, loving, furever homes. (Managing to escape capture for nearly a year now, this is mama cat’s 2nd litter.)

Caesara, called Sara (pronounced SAR-uh) for short, was the last to be caught, coming nearly a month after the first two, and by far the most distraught upon capture. She was so upset that she tore some nails out while clawing at the cage trying to get out. She was also, however, the first to feel comfortable with her human. Within hours of being caught, Caesara was purring while being held. She is the sweetest and most snuggly little gal and likes to crawl onto her foster momma’s chest to sleep. She is the smallest of the litter, but has the biggest heart. This sweet little beauty is sure to bring so much joy to her furever family. Though super sweet and snuggly, Caesara does still get nervous around new people and will need a little time to feel comfortable in a new home and with new people.

~~ Trivial tidbit: Born on Leap Day, Caesara was named after Julius Caesar, known for  introducing the Julian Calendar that added Leap Day. If Caesara had been caught before her brother Julian, she would’ve been named Julia.

** Caesara has been using the litter box with no issues. She's had a wellness exam and vaccinations and has been FIV/FeLV tested. Prior to her adoption, Caesara will also be spayed and microchipped (lifetime enrollment).
