Foster Feedback:

9/11/2017

Bear is a new foster within Diamond in the Ruff and is doing such an amazing job with learning the ins and outs of having a family. Bear, within two days, learned sit, stay (not too far), and down. We've learned how smart of a dog she is and she has great potential with learning new commands/tasks. She is still a little jumpy, but she's getting better everyday with that. We're not sure of Bear's beginnings, but we do know that she is a little timid at first when being approached or when doing new things. After the initial start of anything, she's perfectly fine and I have yet to meet someone she doesn't want to kiss! Bear is definitely a cuddle-bug, she likes to be in our lap or touching us at all times. Bear seems to get along really well with other Huskies. She does like to be the dominant dog, we are learning, so can get testy with other dominant dogs, male or female. Because of that, we would prefer her in a house where she’s the only dog or with another husky since she’s done well with the three she’s met. We do not have cats, so we are unsure of how she would do with them. Although, when she was transported with them and around them in their carriers, she did not care or have any interest at all in them! Overall, Bear is excited about her new life. She needs a family that will work her out and play some of her puppy energy off. She does pretty well on a leash and LOVES walks. Right now, we're learning how to play ball. Playing ball for Bear means she catches the ball and drops it in order to come to you to get some love. Bear is a really sweet dog who deserves as much love as possible. If you think you can provide that to her, please apply! Bear will be ready to start trial with her future family once she is altered on 9/26/2017.

Bear heavily respects our five year old. We have been working on incorporating our daughter into giving Bear commands. Now when Bear wants love from her and gets too excited, our daughter says "Sit" and Bear instantly knows she will get all sorts of pets from her once she's sitting.
