Hi, I'm Maverick!  My foster dad named me that because he is a big Dallas Mavericks fan.  I'm not sure who Dallas Maverick is, but I bet I would like him!  In fact, I like everyone.  I am a very happy 8-12 month old chocolate lab mix and everyone who meets me says I am the absolute sweetest guy and a big ball of puppy love.

I get along great with all my furry foster siblings which range in size from 8lbs to 70lbs.  Don't tell them, but my favorite foster sibling is Gandalf the grey cat who I've been told is also up for adoption just like me.  Gandalf and I are best buds!  We can play and hang out together for hours or even cuddle up for a movie.

I'm still growing into my body and sometimes I don't realize how big I am, but foster mom just asks me to get down and I listen to her.  Listening is one of my best skills and I try really hard to make my humans happy.  I still have lots of puppy energy but enjoy a good nap several times a day. I am house trained, can sit consistently, and am working on come and stay.  I love my kennel and am still working on my leash manners, but am certain I will master leash walking in no time with someone who will work with me!  Please consider filling out your application and  giving me a furever home !
