10/29 Foster Update: Martini has been in her new foster home for a month now and has had the opportunity to be in a home with other cats. She's learning to play with other felines, but is more comfortable when they give her space. She's also spent some time around dogs and does okay with them too. Martini's been patiently waiting for her furever family and is hoping to find them soon. Are you it?!

Updated Foster feedback

My foster family had caught on to my sock fascination. They are now all secured, so I have decided to rescue any stuffed animal in the house. I am still a kitten and love to play with the 2 boys in the house. I am also naturally inquisitive, so a stray roll of toilet paper or paper towels is cause for experimentation in shredding. I am considerate though, and leave a trail through the house so foster mom can find the remains of the roll. With colder temps rolling in, my porch time is short. But, put my tower next to a window, and I am happy to watch outside or snuggle down for a nap. One of my boys made me a "fun box", and I love playing hide and attack the toy in it with him

I sometimes pretend to be a dog and wag my tail when I'm happy or while I'm cudding with you. I also have an odd posture while sleeping, but it makes my family laugh. The kitten in me comes out unexpectedly, like when you walk by me and I pounce on your feet or swat your arm from my multitude of hiding places. I want my family to know how much I appreciate them, so I have been jumping on their backs when they clean my box - it's important they know "I have their back"! Looking for a loving, playful, patient family with older kids!

2nd Foster Feedback
Martini is definitely an only-cat-in-the-home diva. She loves to watch all the happenings outside by sitting on any available window sill. Though she will play all day with you, her favorite toys are socks. Yes, a pair of rolled-up socks will keep her happy for hours. If you leave your socks drawer open, she will sneakily grab a pair and bat them around the house. She loves to cuddle and be snuggled. She keeps her hunting instincts finely tuned by swatting at your foot when you walk past her hiding places. Martini will greet you when you come through the door by laying in front of you, waiting to be cuddled. She is litter trained and very good about using her scratching post instead of the furniture.

1st Foster Feedback
Martini is a very friendly, easy going, petite cat. She is relaxed and adjusts quickly even when moved to a new home.  She is also super friendly with toys.  She loves to hide then jump out and chase wand toys.  She will play until she is panting.  When she is playing she makes the little trilling noises to talk about her chase.

Martini may be better with older children as she has played a little hard with human hands when she was very wound up. She also needs to go to a home without other cats.  She did not tolerate the younger cats in her foster home very well.  She may do better with older cats who will keep a respectful distance.  We are unsure how she is with dogs.

*Martini has been using the litter box with no issues.  She has received her vetting which includes: a wellness exam, FIV/FeLV testing, vaccinations, spay and microchip (lifetime enrollment.)*
